The “F9” extension provides the Trinity with additional functionalities such as PPK, ADS-B as well as ACSL (Anti collision strobe lights) and the iBase as ground reference station.

iBase - Ground Reference Station

iBase is an entry level GNSS reference station. It automatically logs GNSS reference measurements on the ground to a file on a micro SD card. This file enables QBase3D to do PPK processing of the data collected in flight, to reach the data geotagging relative precision of down to 2-5 cm (in respect to the point where the iBase antenna is placed).

Quantum-Systems about PPK & RTK

PPK and RTK (post-processing kinematics and real-time kinematics) are the algorithms that allow the user to cancel most of GNSS errors via processing data from two receivers that are close enough to each other.
They share the same common errors for most error sources such as ionospheric and tropospheric influence on the signal transmission, satellites ephemeris and clock errors.
As is clear from the names, RTK is performed in real time, PPK – in post-processing.

When properly applied, these algorithms reduce positioning errors from several meters (typical for standalone GNSS receivers) down to several centimeters.

The Quantum Systems current approach of choice is PPK:

  • The base station on the ground must be deployed and georeferenced (if high absolute precision is required) for RTK, PPK can make use of already pre-deployed continuously operating reference stations (a dense enough network of these exists e.g. in USA, Europe, Australia, Japan). If you operate with your own reference station, the data can be logged and used in post processing just as well.
  • The real-time corrections transfer from the ground station adds additional complexity to the system for RTK, and thus reduces reliability.
  • The so called forward-backward processing is possible in post-processing, which raises the precise positioning reliability.
  • With our QBase mission planning software we have created a simple and straightforward process of applying PPK to your mission data. The UI enables you to choose different sources of PPK reference data to optimize your results.

Using only one specially-designed motor in the rear fuselage increases the flight time far beyond current industrial UAVs by reducing energy consumption to a minimum.

The Trinity comes “ready to fly” (RTF) in a moulded transport case which offers enough space for the whole package with room for two optional battery packs, accessories, and a tablet PC.

The carbon fiber composite structure and extended wing span of 3.5 m (11.5 ft) enable the Tron to fly longer and in even stronger wind conditions than would be possible with any other electric UAV carrying the same payload. We dedicated many hours to optimize the wing geometry to push the glide ratio to an astounding 22:1!


The Tron F9 has a 2-kg (4.4-pound) payload capacity for large sensor capabilities. Tron’s payload bay offers enough room to accommodate many types of sensors and allows you to gather massive amounts of data in less time.

The eVTOL capability, vibration dampening, and secure housing keep the data quality at a high level and protect even the most fragile sensor arrays.


Combining eVTOL and fixed wing capabilities into an easy to use system gives you flexible operating areas and the ability to map larger areas than has ever been possible with conventional multicopters.

Training Program

We offer a two day basic training course to help you get the best out of the Tron. You will get your hands on the system, plan example missions and fly them. The training sessions will cover aerodynamic topics, correct handling and local legal aspects.

We will teach you how to assemble and disassemble your Tron F9, charge your batteries and execute basic maintenance. These two fully packed days include an introduction into all relevant technical parts and extensive software training by our qualified specialists.

Custom Payload

The Tron F9 with its large payload compartment offers additional space and customers made use of this by integrating bigger and more sensors than it would be possible with other UAVs.

This is an example for a custom integration with a total of 3 cameras featuring 8 objectives for advanced agricultural research applications.

VECTOR – The 2in1 vertical take-off reconnaissance UAV

Flexible and enduring, the Vector provides flight and surveillance characteristics to military and security forces that are exceeding performance of current tactical UAV platforms in service all over the world. It is a military grade UAV System built to last and bring capabilities to the battlefield not available as of today.

The ability to operate in the most difficult terrain (VTOL) combined with extremely low noise emission (motor off silent mode) makes the Vector the perfect UAV for a wide range of military and security applications.

A military encrypted mesh IP link sends video streams up to a range of 15+ km. A flight time of up to 120 minutes speaks for itself. All combined in a compact and robust electric VTOL UAV.

Thanks to QBase 3D, all mission relevant steps from planning to execution can be carried out intuitively by a single person. QBase 3D automatically generates efficient flight paths after the flight area and the mission parameters have been defined with a few clicks. It is also possible to launch Vector or Scorpion without having planned a mission beforehand in order to be operational quickly.

Our self-developed software allows you to dynamically adjust the mission in flight to mark targets on the map or in video before, during or after the mission, to show or detect critical points.

QBase 3D records the full mission on the GCS (including video and aircraft data) and replays it at any time, while recording is continued. The software supports the operator with warnings when the aircraft is about to exceed its limits. Overwriting them is always possible if the mission requires it – Just fly.


The included ground control station (GCS) is a high-performance x86 based PC in a rugged case with haptic control elements and touch screen functionality.

The display is anti-reflective and guarantees optimum sharpness of detail even under the most adverse lighting conditions. Thanks to a resistive screen, interaction in rain or with gloves is possible.


, In order to provide relevant intelligence for better decision making we integrate high value sensors with powerful optics while keeping size and weight at a minimum. The result is state of the art stability combined with unmatched robustness.

Thanks to its modular concept, the front section of Vector & Scorpion can be equipped with different payloads.

All sensor changes are done by simply exchanging the complete payload bay in a matter of seconds. No tools required.

Observing targets at day and night with IR capability (EO/IR option) gives you all the flexibility needed. Reading license plates at up to 700m distance with EO 30x zoom option or marking targets at night with IR illuminator (laser option) increase your operational success.

Radio communication, which meets the requirements of modern applications, especially in the military sector, today requires more range, data throughput and reliability than ever before. That is why Quantum-Systems uses a state of the art encrypted mesh IP link which delivers unprecedented performance never seen before in challenging environments.

The data link hardware consists of a robust handheld unit on the ground and an OEM module onboard the UAV. Sector antennas can boost the range to 25+ km. No tracking antenna or moving parts are necessary.

This setup enables an 128/256 bit AES encrypted 10+Mbit data stream and up to 25+ km (sector antennas) video and command & control range.

The hardware is optimized for tactical applications and comes in rugged, IP 67 rated casings. It uses sophisticated MIMO mesh network technology. The data link control is fully integrated ino QBase 3D including link and power management.

When disassembled, Scorpion and Vector can be transported comfortably and safely by one person. Only a few steps are required to get the systems ready for use.

As standard, the transport case has external dimensions of 850x470x280 mm. It is IP67 (submersible and floating) certified and therefore suitable for the most adverse conditions. As an option, it is also possible to use the all-terrain backpack.
