The best cameras as payload options
The MicaSense RedEdge-MX Blue Sensor
The performance you rely on from MicaSense, with a new coastal blue band, a new green band, and three new bands in the red to red-edge region of the spectrum. Five new bands that enable direct comparison between satellite and drone data.
- Synchronized capture of all 10 bands for pixel aligned imagery
- Standard 12 bit TIFF file outputs with embedded metadata for full access to raw data
- Combined Downwelling Light Sensor and GPS for streamlined integration, accurate ambient light calibration. Only one DLS required (already integrated in the main body of the Trinity F90+)
- Radiometrically calibrated spectral images for precise, repeatable measurements.
- Global shutters on all 10 lenses for distortion-free results
“While all of our sensors produce repeatable outputs with optimized GSD, the additional spectral information captured by the Dual Camera System makes it especially suited for AI/Machine Learning workflows. Now, integrated with the Trinity F90+, the combined solution offers customers the utmost capability in plant canopy analysis and classification tasks over large areas.”
Camera integration done right – easily exchangeable and accessible
No belly landings
Rough landings should be avoided at any time. We unconditionally rely on vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) to guarantee smooth landings and therefore a long service life. The landing gear additionally supports the safety of the components by offering additional flex.
Easy payload swapping
Payloads can easily be swapped in seconds. No tools are required and the sensors are highly integrated to support the pilots’ mission planning.
Easy access to your data
Access to the recorded data is uncomplicated via external card slots. If more sophisticated storage solutions are necessary, our payload compartment provides enough space for this option.
All cameras are damped against in-flight vibrations to guarantee highest image quality.
Key Benefits of the MicaSense Dual Camera System Payload:
Double the bands for double the analytical capabilities
Monitor shallow water environments with the new coastal blue aerosol band
Compare imagery directly with Landsat and Sentinel satellite data
Perform detailed analysis on chlorophyll efficiency or the red edge slope with new red, green and two new red edge bands
“The long flight time, large coverage area, and enhanced spectral coverage offered by this integration allows for high spatial and spectral resolution imagery and gives customers an unparalleled capability for advanced analytics and large-scale research projects.”
Sample Data information:
- Recording date: March 24th 2020
- Number of images: 5230 (1 picture per channel)
- Flying altitude: 109m
- Ground resolution: 7.24 cm/px
(at 100m altitude = 6.9 cm/px)
- Coverage area: 0.209 km²
- File size: 973 MB (.tiff)
The Trinity F90+ RedEdge-MX Dual Camera Payload is delivered fully operational and can be deployed in seconds thanks to the modularity of the Trinity F90+. The DLS sensor integrated in the main body means that no modifications are required by the drone operator.
PPK 100% supported for all our payload integrations
Unlike other available mapping solutions, we are proud to offer our own PPK solution for all available sensor payloads!
Each of our drones comes standard with our iBase Ground Station and can generate high quality GPS data out of the box. PPK is therefore a basic feature of our systems at no additional cost to the customer.
iBase is an entry level GNSS reference station. It automatically logs GNSS reference measurements on the ground to a file on a micro SD card. This file enables QBase3D to do PPK processing of the collected survey data with a absolute accuracy of 2- 5 cm.
In the event of support, customers thus have a direct advantage over third-party solutions, as we have direct access to our PPK integration. This saves time and money! Furthermore, individual PPK modifications are also possible thanks to vertical integration. Simply contact us in this regard.
